Basic Beef Stew for the Slow Cooker

Combine all ingredients in slow cooker in order listed
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 3 potatoes, cut in 1-inch pieces
- 2 pounds beef stew meat in 1-inch cubes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 3 onions, quartered
- 1 celery rib, cut up

In a bowl, mix half of the onions with the chopped meat
- 2 pounds chopped meat
- 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1 large onion, cut in half then chop each half and keep separated
- 1/2 cup grated cheese
- Dash of garlic powder
- 2 small cans tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon gravy mix,
- such as Gravy Master
- 1/2 cup hot water

- 2 lbs beef stew meat
- 1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can condensed cream of onion soup
- 1 (8 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 (8 ounce) container cream cheese, cubed
- 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
- 6 cups hot cooked noodles or 6 cups rice, for serving,if desired

- For the frosting:

- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups (16 ounces) sour cream
- 2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1-1/4 cups confectioners' sugar
- 3 tablespoons 2% milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
ROLO CHEESECAKE BARS

LET COOL AND ADD GLAZE. GLAZE: MELT IN THE MICROWAVE: 1 STICK BUTTER & 6 OUNCES CHOCOLATE CHIPS
- CRUST:
- 3 cups of graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 STICKS MELTED BUTTER (16 TABLESPOONS)
- STIR ALL TOGETHER AND PRESS INTO A 9X13 PAN LINED WITH NONSTICK FOIL.
- BAKE AT 350 FOR 7-10 MINUTES AND COOL.
- FILLING:
- BEAT: 2 8-OUNCE PACKAGES OF CREAM CHEESE
- 2 EGGS
- 1 C. SUGAR
- 1/4 C. FLOUR
- ONCE SMOOTH, ADD ONE PACKAGE OF MINI ROLOS (THE UNWRAPPED ONES)
- POUR ONTO THE COOL CRUST AND BAKE AT 350 FOR 30-35 MINUTES.

- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk or yogurt; low-fat is fine
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Filling
- 1/3 cup Dutch-process cocoa, sifted*
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) butter
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 4 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted*
- For the smoothest filling — yes, you DO have to sift the cocoa and sugar. If a few lumps don't bother you, never mind the sifting.
- Icing
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup confectioner's sugar, sifted*
- For extra-chocolate-y icing, substitute 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar + 1/4 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder, sifted together, for the 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar called for.
