- 2 oz red food coloring (I generally just go by look…the redder, the better :) )

- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
