Shrimp Fried Rice

Run the frozen shrimp under warm running water, pat dry with paper towels, shell and devein
- Marinade:
- 8 ounces frozen uncooked shrimp, unshelled
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce, or to taste (if desired)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 1/2 teaspoons water
- Other:
- 8 ounces cooked ham
- 1 medium onion
- 4 green onions
- 3 eggs (more if desired)
- 1/2 cup peas
- 4 cups cold cooked rice
- 4 to 5 tablespoons oil for stir-frying, or as needed

- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt

- 4 oz unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup milk
- For Frosting:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 15 oz semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract

- 1 box (1 lb 2.25 oz) Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® white cake mix
- Water (we use milk for moister cake), vegetable oil and egg whites called for on cake mix box
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 teaspoon red paste food color
- 2 containers (12 oz each) fluffy white whipped frosting
