This French toast recipe cuts back on fat by using only 1 whole egg and 2 egg whites
- 1 egg
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- dash nutmeg
- 8 slices French bread, sliced on diagonal
BEEF STROGANOFF

- Cake:
- 1 cup (250 ml) all-purpose or cake-and-pastry flour
- 1 tsp. (5 ml) baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. (1 ml) salt
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) maple syrup
- 1 cup (250 ml) brown sugar, not packed
- Icing sugar
- Filling:
- 1 cup (250 ml) whipping cream
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. (30 to 45 ml) maple syrup
- Topping:
- 1-1/2 cups (375 ml) whipping cream
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) maple syrup
- Garnishes:
- Cocoa, shaved chocolate and whole cranberries.

- 1 small onion, coarsely chopped

- 2 cups (500 ml) prepared tomato sauce

- 1 cup (250 ml) grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
- 1 cup (250 ml) milk
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) butter or margarine
- 2 eggs, beaten
Chicken Mozzarella
