Friday Night Chili

This one is my favorite!
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 3 large cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 (16oz) can kidney beans
- 2 cups water
- 1 (16oz) can diced tomatoes
- 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 2 tblsp chili powder
- 2 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp red pepper
Easy Pork Skillet

By mirving
Heat oil in skillet. Add pork; stir-fry about 5 minutes or until no longer pink
- 1 tblsp olive oil
- 1 lb pork tenderloin,cut into 1/8th inch strips
- 2 pkgs (3 oz each) pork-flavored ramen noodles
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup broccoli flowerets
- 4 green onions cut into pieces
- 2 tsp parsley flakes
- 1 tblsp soy sauce
Greek Salad

By mirving
Toss greens, olives, tomatoes, onion, cucumber and greek peppers with dressing
- DRESSING:
- 1 bag mixed salad greens
- 1 cup ripe olives
- Greek peppers if you like
- 3 plum tomatoes, cut up
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cucumber, peeled and cut unto chunks
- 8 oz feta cheese (I use the basil and tomato variety)
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp salt and pepper
Cuban Beef Stew

Although this takes a fair amount of time it is not difficult to make
- 2 tblsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 1/2 lbs sirloin tips, cubed
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp oregano
- 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 2 tblsp red wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup pimiento stuffed green olives
- 1/4 cup raisins(optional)
- 4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
- salt and pepper taste
Saucy Spare Ribs

RIBS: In a large pot place the ribs, onion, garlic, peppercorns, and salt
- RIBS:
- 3 About 3 slabs cut in half
- 1 onion, quartered
- 2 peeled cloves of garlic
- 12 peppercorns
- 1/2 tsp salt
- SAUCE:
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2/3 cup cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 tblsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsps onion powder
- 2 tsps mustard powder
- 2 tsps liquid smoke
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Greek Salad Potato Salad

By mirving
Cook potatoes in water until tender
- 7 potatoes
- 1/2 chopped cucumber
- 1 clove garlic, minced fine
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 3 tblsp feta cheese
- 1 tsp Greek seasoning
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup minced onion
Pea (or Kidney Bean) Salad

Mix all together with just enough mayo to hold it together and chill
- 1 can peas or beans, drained
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 hard boiled eggs, chopped
- 1 large stalk celery, chopped
- 1 tblsp sweet pickle relish
- 1/2 cup cubed velveeta cheese
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Mayo
Dinner in a Slow Cooker

By mirving
Place carrots in first and add in layers the onion, celery,beans and meat
- 2 lbs boneless stew meat
- 1 1/2 cups carrots in 1 inch pieces
- 2 medium onions cut in small cubes
- 1 1/2 cups celery pieces in 3/4 inch lengths
- 8 oz cut green beans (frozen is fine)
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 tblsp flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 1/8 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup
Perfectly Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies

Heat oven to 375. Stir together flour,cocoa, baking soda and salt
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup softened butter
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup packed lt brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups (12 oz pkg) peanut butter chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Pot Roast with Vegetables

Whisk soup, soup mix, water, rosemary and garlic in a slow cooker until blended
- can of mushroom soup with roasted garlic
- 1 box (2.2oz) beefy onion soup mix (2 pkts)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 3 lb boneless beef chuck roast
- 4 carrots cut in 2" pieces
- 5 medium red skinned potatoes sliced 1/2 inch thick.
