In a saucepan combine the milk, cream, and 1/2 cup sugar over medium heat
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar, plus 1/4 cup
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread (recommended: Nutella)
- 1/2 cup toasted hazelnuts, crushed, for garnish

1 Add oreos to food processor and blend until fine
- 1-18oz. pkg oreo cookies (regular size, 3 rows of cookies)
- 1-8oz. pkg cream cheese-block

- 1 pkg yellow cake mix
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/3 c oil
- 1/4 c water
- 1 c plain yogurt

- 3 T lemon juice (or more, to taste)
- 1/2 t lemon zest
- 3 T poppy seeds

- 1/2 c powdered sugar (or more to thicken)

- 1 T capers, rinsed, pressed dry between towels, and barely chopped
- 1 T lemon zest
- 3 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped
- 12 fresh sage leaves, crushed then coarsely chopped

- 2 cups (500 mL) fresh corn kernel
- 3 stalks celery, diced
- 3 tbsp (45 mL) lime juice
- 3 tbsp (45 mL) extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 hot red or green pepper, minced (optional)
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) hot pepper sauce

- 1 red onion, finely diced
- 2 avocados, peeled, pitted and chopped
