A nice fall twist to Amish Friendship Bread.
Yield: 2 loaves
C Amish Friendship Bread starter
eggs
C oil
C sugar mixed with 1 ½ tsp cinnamon
Grease pans. Sprinkle bottom and sides of pan with cinnamon sugar mixture. Preheat oven to 325 F.
Add the ingredients to the starter in order. Pour into pans, sprinkle with remaining sugar and cinnamon mixture, and bake, about one hour.They are done when a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans until the bread loosens and then turn out to a serving dish.

I’ve never made the starter. Mine was given to me, but I’ve seen recipes for it. Google Amish Bread Starter recipe and I bet you can find it.

Ah the secret to that is to only feed the starter half of the recommended amount at both feedings. Then when you take out your 1 cup for next time you can make a batch and a 1/2 of the bread and use everything up. Starters can also be frozen if you want to take a break from Amish bread.
