Ingredients
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup fresh soft bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
- 1-1/2 pounds ground turkey
- 6 slices Muenster cheese
- 2 tomatoes, thickly sliced
- 6 lettuce leaves
- 6 whole wheat sandwich buns, split and toasted ( we used Potato Hamberger Buns)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup creamy Dijon mustard spread

Preparation:
In small saucepan, cook onion and garlic in butter until very tender. Place in large bowl and cool 10 minutes. Add bread crumbs, Dijon mustard, egg, salt, and pepper and mix well. Work in turkey with your hands until combined. Form into six patties.
Refrigerate patties 2-3 hours. Grill or saute until done, turning once, until internal temperature reaches 170 degrees F.
Top with cheese; cover and let stand until cheese melts. Assemble burgers with tomatoes, lettuce, buns, mayonnaise, and creamy Dijon mustard spread. (we just used ketchup and mayo (forgot to get lettuce at the grocery store)
