Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup finely-chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 package frozen sausage meat, thawed
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground oregano
- pinch garlic powder
- 1 3/4 cups water
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 3/4 cup elbow macaroni
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/3 cup grated Canadian Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoon chopped parsley

Step 1
Melt butter in a large frypan. Sauté onion and green pepper 5 minutes. Add meat to pan and continue cooking until meat is lightly browned. Blend in salt, oregano and garlic powder. Stir in water and beef broth. Add macaroni. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until macaroni is tender. Blend in flour. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture just comes to a boil and thickens. Stir in cheese and parsley.
