Easy Homemade Caramel Dip

In a medium heavy saucepan cook the sugar undisturbed over medium heat until it starts to melt - about 5 minutes
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/8 cup honey
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 3 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Candied Dill Pickles

Makes good relish when chopped up
- One large jar (46 ounces) whole dill pickles (I use Vlasic)
- 3 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- heaping tablespoon of pickling spice
- cheesecloth, cut into a 3“ x 3” square
"All Bran" Muffins

I adapted this recipe to use the whole box of All Bran so that I wouldn't have to worry about it going bad
- 1 box All Bran cereal (18.3 oz)
- 2 1/2 cups boiling water
- 1 1/4 cup butter
- 4 cups sugar
- 5 eggs
- 5 cups buttermilk
- 6 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 T baking soda
- 1 T salt
Ham Broccoli Cheddar Chowder

Heat butter in skillet until melted
- 5 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 4 cups milk
- 2 russet potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 3 cups broccoli, chopped
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups ham, cubed
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
Mormon Peach Cobbler

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- Fruit Mixture
- 1 29 ounce size can of sliced peaches in syrup
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- Drain the juice into a saucepan. Mix a little of the juice with cornstarch to make a soft paste and add the paste to the rest of the juice. Add the spices.
- Heat until bubbly, stirring as needed. The syrup should thicken to a slurry.
- Pour the slurry and peaches into a small casserole dish.
- Topping
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup milk
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Skillet Cornbread

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F
- 1 1/4 cups yellow cornmeal
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into 4 pieces
Potato Soup

Boil potatoes and onions together in not too much water; do not drain
- potatoes, peeled and chopped into mouthsize pieces

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Bars

- 1/4 cup sugar

- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice (see Note for substitution)

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
