Sausage and egg casserole with sun-dried tomatoes and mozzarella

- 1 pound Italian sweet sausage, casings removed
- 1/2 cup chopped shallots
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup chopped drained oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes
- 4 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 cup cream
- 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Country Ham Spread

- 2 pkgs. Philly cream cheese
- 3/4 pound country ham - I just use the Kroger Private Selection - it's surprisingly good and just fine for this recipe
- 3-4 scallion onions - the whole thing
- Cayenne Pepper - I use a pretty liberal amount, but remember, you can put it in, but can take it out - be patient, add slowly and check for heat
Mini Pizza Scones

Pizza flavored mini scones Makes approx
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup cornmeal
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 T. shredded parmesan cheese
- 4.5 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 3 oz dried tomatoes, chopped
- 4 oz chopped salami
- 2 oz. roasted garlic, pureed
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 stick cold butter, diced small and chilled.
- 1 egg for wash
- 1 cup pizza sauce (optional)
Blood Orange Martini

Juice fruits, add simple syrup and vodka
- 3 blood oranges - juiced
- 1 1/2 lemons - juiced
- 1 full shot simple syrup
- 2 shots regular vodka
Gert's Chicken & Dumplings

Simmer chicken, vegetables, herbs, and boullion in water until chicken is cooked through - about 1 hour
- 3 bone-in chicken breast halves with skin
- 1/2 medium onion cut into lg chunks
- 2 carrots large-diced
- 2 ribs celery large-diced
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 sprigs thyme or rosemary
- 1 Tbsp. boullion
- 2 cups flour
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- water
Roasted Broccoli and Shrimp

- 2 pounds broccoli, cut into bite-size florets
- 4 tablespoons ( 1/4 cup) extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon whole coriander seeds
- 1 teaspoon whole cumin seeds
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon hot chili powder
- 1 pound large shrimp, shelled and deveined
- 1 1/4 teaspoons lemon zest (from 1 large lemon)
- Lemon wedges, for serving.
Asparagus & Radish Salad

- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons canola oil
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 2-3 dashes Asian red chile sauce, such as sriracha (optional)
- 1 bunch radishes, trimmed and cut into wedges
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped scallion
