- Original recipe makes 1 - 9 inch pie
- 1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked
- 3 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed (or use freshly whipped cream sweetened with 2 tablespoons of confectioner's sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla)
- Per several reviewers, increase the cornstarch to 4 tablespoons and use whole milk. Several reviewers added an extra egg yolk.
- Note: No egg tempering to worry about!

- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp flour
- 5 tbsp Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 5 tbsp panko crumbs
- 2 tsp Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp dried parsley
- olive oil cooking spray
- Be sure to use Sargento Part-Skim, Low-Sodium cheese.
