Red Velvet Cake

Cake: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- Cake:
- 3 3/4 •3 3/4 cups AP Flour
- 3 •3 tablespoons Dutch processed cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 •1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 •1/2 teaspoon salt
- 12 •12 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 2 1/4 •2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 •3/4 cups vegetable oil
- 3 •3 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 1/2 •1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 •1 1/2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
- 1 •1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 1/2 •1 1/2 cups buttermilk, at room temperature
- Frosting:
- 1/2 •1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 •1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 •1/2 vanilla bean, split and seeds scraped
- 7 •7 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 •3 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 1/2 •1 1/2 cups superfine sugar

Sift flour, measure, add baking powder, salt, soda, sugar, and sift again
- 1 ) 1/2 cup all purpose flour Edit Delete

Garlicky Barbecue Chicken (Mike Masters)

Directions Place chicken in crockpot/slow cooker
- 1 1/2 lb. boneless, skinless chicken pieces
- 1 C. packed light brown sugar
- 2/3 C. vinegar
- 1/4 C. lemon/lime soda
- 2-3 Tbs. minced garlic
- 2 Tbs. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. ground black pepper
COTTAGE CHEESE DISH (Elizabeth Tite Whitehead)

Mix dry Jello with cottage cheese, then add Cool Whip and pineapple
- 1 lb. creamed cottage cheese (sm. curd)
- 1 lg. container Cool Whip
- 1 box Jello (any flavor)
- 1 can crushed pineapple, drained
PINEAPPLE PIE (Sheila Tite Stotts)

Cook all ingredients in saucepan until pineapple mixture is thick
- 1 can crushed pineapple
- 4 tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 egg
- 1 stick butter
- Pie crust for top & bottom of pie

Preheat oven to 350°F. Place cookie dough, the 1/2 c
- 1 (18 ounce) roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough .1/2 cup toffee pieces
- 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
- 1 (12 ounce) package miniature semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 c. toffee pieces
Hot Crab Rangoon Dip with Won Ton Chips (Jared, Emma &Joseph White)

Preheat broiler. Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl and stir to combine
- For the Dip :
- 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, cut into cubes
- 2 (6-ounce) cans lump crabmeat, drained and shredded
- 1 (10-ounce) can condensed shrimp bisque
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1 scallion, finely chopped
- For the Won Ton Chips :
- Peanut oil
- 1 package won ton wrappers
- Salt, to taste
Crockpot Nacho Dip (Kevin Jackson)

Brown the beef, onion, and garlic together
- 2 lbs. ground beef, browned and drained
- 1 large onion (browned with beef in the same skillet)
- garlic to taste (add to beef and onion while browning)
- 2 lbs. Velveeta (half regular, half mexican)
- 16 oz. stewed tomatoes
- 1 Tbs. flour
- 1 dash worchestire
- chili powder, to taste

- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. sugar
