  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoons garlic minced
  • 2-1/2 cups white rice cooked
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 10.5 ounces cream of mushroom soup
  • 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup
  • 8 ounce container sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cups cheese cut into 1-inch cubes (you can also use shredded cheese)
  • parsley to garnish

My favorite restaurant used to have an appetizer called Shrimp da Zaccaria

  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 12 large shrimp, cleaned with tails left on
  • 1 lemon, zest finely grated and juiced
  • 1/2 cup limoncello liqueur
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 baguette, sliced into 16 slices, or 8 slices country bread
  • 1 bunch flat-leaf parsley, chopped to yield 1/4 cup
  • another version includes 1/2 cup of white wine with only 2 oz of limoncello
