- 1 1/2 cups warm water (between 110 - 120 degrees F)
- 1 package active dry yeast

- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt

- 1 (12oz) jar pepperoncini peppers
- 1 (14.5 oz) can beef broth
- 1 (12oz) bottle beer

- Filling and Topping:
- 4 Tbsp. softened butter
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. lemon extract (I left this out)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. buttermilk (or you can use 1 Tbsp. vinegar + 15 Tbsp. milk)
