Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • **(or can use 2 1/4 cup self-rising flour and leave out salt & soda, which is what Grandma did)**
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup softened butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375. Combine flour, salt and baking soda in bowl and set aside. Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, softened margarine and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Add eggs and beat. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in chocolate and chopped nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake 8-10 minutes. Makes approximately 100 - 2' cookies.
