Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsl. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 pk (8oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup rainbow jimmies or nonpareils

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325,

Grease and flour or use pan spray with flour to prepare pan

In bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.

In large bowl, beat butter, cream cheese and sugar with electric mixer until light and fluffy.

Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each.

Add vanilla, mix well.

Add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with milk, starting and ending with dry; blend well.

Fill all pan canities 2/3 full.

Gently stir 1 tsp jimmies on top/swirl cavities.

Bake 36-38 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Cool cakes in pan 15 minutes.

Remove from pan; cool completely.

Repeat baking with remaining batter.
