Apple French Toast

Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 loaf of sliced cinnamon bread
- 2 apples
- 5 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Combine brown sugar with butter and maple syrup, heat until butter is melted and pour in a 9 x 13 inch glass dish
Peel, core and slice apples into dish on top of sauce
Put cinnamon bread on top of apples, two slices across and three down, then a second layer of bread on top. You will have used about 12 slices from loaf.
combine 5 eggs, beaten, the milk and vanilla and pour over bread slices.
put in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning take out, let stand about 15 minutes and put in a 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes.
