Ingredients

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 coup flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, stirring thoroughly after each addition. Add vanilla. Slowly add dry ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet 2 1/2 inches apart. Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Bake for 7 minutes in 400 degree oven.
