Ingredients
- 2 C fresh peaches sliced
- 1 1/4 C sugar, divided
- 2/23 stick butter or margarine
- 3/4 C flour
- 3/4 C milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- pinch salt
Preparation
Step 1
Mix peaches with 3/4 C sugar. Set aside. Put butter in a deep baking dish and set in 350 oven to melt. Combine 1/2 C sugar and remaining ingredients to make batter. Remove pan with melted butter from oven. Pour in batter. DO NOT STIR. Top with peaches. DO NOT STIR. Batter will rise.
Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
Serve warm or cold
