Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix dry (flour, baking powder) ingredients in separate bowl and set aside.
2. Cream butter and sugar - add egg and vanilla and beat will till light consistency.
3. Alternating each ingredient into creamed mixture, add a small amount of the dry mix then add a small amount of milk. Should take about 3 additions of ingredients till finally all dry ingredients are moistened. Beating and stirring too much hardens the cookie and it's less soft and moist. Refrigerate dough to cool and stiffen.
4. Press cookie dough out on floured surface very lightly. Using a roller also tends to harden cookie. Press out till about 1/4 inch thick. Then cut cookie shapes with drinking glass turned mouth down. Cookie should come off floured surface with fingers.
5. Bake at 350 for 8-10 min depending on how hot your oven.
