Ingredients
- 8 cups peeled and coarsely chopped firm pears
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Preparation
Step 1
Put the pears in the crock pot. Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon on top.
Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Add vinegar and stir.
Reduce heat to low and continue cooking several hours until pears are the consistency of applesauce.
Any large pieces of pears can be mashed with fork or beaten with an electric mixer.
Continue cooking to thicken slightly.
Spoon into sterilized jars and seal immediately
