Drop Doughnuts
By lknowles
These doughnuts are dropped from a spoon in to the hot oil
so - NO HOLES. If you get real good at this - you might be
able to make a hole.
This came from my mother and it was a family favorite, we
had them for many year's, when we lived on a farm. Did not have a doughnut store on every corner at that time.
Enjoy them - as we did!

Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. butter ( real butter )
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 Cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tsp.Baking powder
- 3 cups white flour
- a dash of salt
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- Let butter soften, add the sugar and eggs. cream together.
- Add milk and the dry ingredients. Mix together.
- Chill - for 2 to 3 hours
- Heat oil in a large pan, use vegetable oil or canola,
- just enough to keep the doughnuts off the bottom of
- the pan. Maybe 2 inches deep. Drop the dough into the hot oil and when they are golden brown on one side turn them with a fork - to brown on both sides.
