Venison Jerky

2lbs of venison cut into thin strips
Dehydrator required

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 dashes of Red Hot
  • Crushed Reds (amount depends on the amount of spice desired)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix ingredients for marinade in a bag or sealable container

Place meat in marinade, mix well

Soak meat in marinade, in refrigerator, for at least 24 hours

Place meat in dehydrator for 4-8 hours, or until meat cracks when bent but does not break

Preheat oven to 175°

Cook for 10 minutes to kill bacteria
