Slow Cooker Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 29 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 (8 oz.) package lasagna noodles, uncooked
  • 4 cups (16 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups (12 oz.) small curd cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Cook beef, onion and garlic in saucepan until browned. Drain

Stir in tomato sauce, water, tomato paste, salt and oregano. Mix well.

Spread one-fourth of the meat sauce in slow cooker. Arrange one-third of the noodles over sauce.

Combine the cheeses. Spoon one-third of the mixture over noodles. Repeat layers twice. Top with remaining meat sauce.

Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours.
