Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), softened
- 1 cup frimly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon valnilla extract
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly spray Giant Whoopie Pie Pan with non stick cooking spray
In large bowl beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, beat until combined.
In another bowl sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking & soda powder and salt. Add 1/2 of the dry ingredients in to the butter mixture on low speed. Alternating with buttermilk until all ingredients are incorporated.
Divde batter evenly between the two sections in the Whoppie Pie pan. Bake for 19-22 until cake springs back. Cool before filling
