VANISHING OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter Crisco
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • dash of salt
  • 3 cups quick or old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat shortening and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well. Combine flour, soda, cinnamon, and salt; mix well. Add oats, raisins, and pecans. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets. Remove to wire rack and cool completely.
