Ingredients

  • 4 eggs well beaten
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 unbaked 9" pastry shell (try deep dish

Preparation

Step 1

Combine eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and salt and mix well.

Pour into pastry shell

Bake at 425 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted halfway between center and edges comes out clean.

Serve slightly warm or cold.

Note: The center of pie may not be firm when pie is removed from oven, but it will firm up when cooled.

Over baking will make custard watery.
