Mushroom Crescents

Excellent appetizers and nice for a tea party! Use the Mushroom-Thyme Spread to fill the Crescents

Ingredients

  • 9 oz cream cheese
  • 8 T. butter
  • 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg

Preparation

Step 1

In food processor, combine cream cheese and butter, pulsing 2-3 times and then let the machine run for a minute.

Add the flour, 1/2 c. at a time, pulsing 6-8 times after each addition of flour.

Remove dough, flatten into a disc, wrap in plastic, & refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Make the Mushroom-Thyme Spread, according to its recipe.

Pat dough into 2 1/2" circles, fill with a tiny bit of mushroom-thyme mix. Moisten edges with water, fold in half, and press edges together.

Brush with an egg mixed with 1T. water.

Bake 15 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet.
