Polka Dot Cookie Bars

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 2-1/4 cup plain flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. (12 oz.) vanilla or white chips, diided

Preparation
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in extract. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture. Set aside 1/4 cup vanilla chips. Stir remaining chips into batter. Spread into a greased 15 x 10 x 1 baking pan. Sprinkle with reserved chips. Bake at 375 degrees for 18 - 20 minutes or until done. Cool before cutting. Yields 4 dozen.
