Recipe was from wife of a bus driver for the company I worked at.

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter or margarine
• 3/4 cup light brown sugar
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 1 egg at room temperature
• 2 1/4 cups bleached flour
• 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 2 cups choc chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375.

In a small mixing bowl stir together flour, salt, baking soda. set aside.

In large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg. Beat very well. Add dry ingredients, mix well and add chips.

Roll one tsp of dough onto parchment covered cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 15 min. 12 min is usually best. Cool about 5 min. out of oven and then put on cooling rack.

Makes about 3 or 4 doz cookies.
