Ingredients
- 1 tbs bacon drippings
- 1 lg onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 3 c. chicken broth
- 1 lb fresh collards greens, cut in 2”pieces
Preparation
Step 1
Heat drippings in pan, add onions and cook 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook another minute. Add collard greens and fry until they start to wilt. Pour in chicken broth and seasonings. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer until tender, about 45 minutes.
