Baked Mac & Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1-1 1/2 cups rotini
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 3/4 cup milk
  • 8 oz cheese (monterey jack and cheddar), cubed

Preparation

Step 1

Cook rotini as directed. Melt butter. Stir in flour. Cook over low heat until smooth and bubbly. Gradually stir in milk. Heat to a boil, stirring constantly - about 1 min. Remove from heat - add cheese, salt and pepper. Stir until cheese melted. Put rotini in 1 1/2 qt ungreased container. Pour cheese mixture over top of rotini. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
