Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- Salt &pepper to taste
- 1/2 head sliced cabbage
- 2 tbs butter
- 2 tbs flour
- 2 c. milk
- 1 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
Step 1
Brown ground beef with onions and garlic. Add thyme, salt and pepper.
Meanwhile lightly steam cabbage.
To make white sauce melt butter, add flour and cook for 30 seconds. Add milk. Slowly cook stirring until thick.
Layer browned ground beef and cabbage into casserole dish. Cover with white sauce and bread crumbs. Bake until bubbly.
