Ingredients

vegetable oil for frying
1/2 c yellow corn meal
1/2 c flour
2 t baking powder
3/4 c milk
1/2 c onion
1 egg

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat oil to 375.

2. Combine ingredients in bowl and mix well.

3. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls into hot oil. Leave 3 min or until golden brown.

4. Drain on paper towels
