Ingredients
- 6 c. water
- 3 tsp chicken bouillon
- 1/2 c. pearled barley
- 2 chopped carrots
- 2 chopped celery stalks
- 2 peeled and chopped potatoes
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp marjoram
- 1/3 c. fresh chopped parsley
Preparation
Step 1
Heat the water in pot over medium heat. Add bouillon and stir to dissolve. Add the barley, carrot, celery, potatoes, onion, garlic salt, pepper and marjoram. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 35 minutes or until barley is soft.
