Apple Pie

Ingredients
- 1 double crust pie shell
- 6 cups thinly sliced peeled cooking apples
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/3 cup dried canberries (optional)

Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 375ºF. Prepare and roll out pastry for double-crust pie. Line a 9 inch pie plate with a pastry circle.
2. If desired, sprinkle apples with lemon juice.
In a large bowl stir together sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. add aple slices and, if desired cranberries. Gently tos until coated.
3. Transfer apple mixture to the pastry-lined pie plate. Trim bottom pastry to edge of plate. Cut slices in remaining pastry circle; place on filling and seal . Crimp edges.
4. If desired, brush top pastry with milk and sprinkle with additional sugar. Bake for 1 hour. Cool on wire rack.
