Birthday Cake (for dogs)

Ingredients

• 2/3 cup bananas, mashed
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 3/4 cup water
• 3 large eggs
• 2 cups whole wheat flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon ginger
• 1 tablespoon cinnamon
• 3/4 cup carob chips

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350º.

Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, ginger and cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.

Beat together bananas and butter in a large bowl until creamy.

Beat in water and eggs one at time into the banana mixture.

Stir dry ingredients into the banana mixture.

Gently stir in carob chips.

Spoon batter evenly into a prepared bundt pan.

Bake for 35 minutes.

Cool for 15 minutes in pan, then carefully remove cake from pan and let cool completely on a wire rack.
