Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter or margarine
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon grated lemon rind
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup chopped raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped dates
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F. Spray 2 loaf pans with non stick cooking spray.
Cream together butter & sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in applesauce & milk.
Combine dry ingredients; add to applesauce mixture & mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into loaf pans.
Bake for 1 hour or until bread tests done.
Cool on rack for 10 minutes. Remove bread from pan & finish cooling on rack.
