Ingredients
- Crust:
- 1/2 cup butter (l stick) softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- Filling:
- 8 oz softened cream cheese
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Topping:
- 3 unpeeled thinly slice apples
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven 400*
Grease an 8inch tart pan
Crust:
With mixer cream butter and sugar, then add vanilla and stir in flour. Bake in oven l5 minutes or until golden.
Filling:
Beat cream cheese, sugar and egg with wisk and add vanilla until smooth, then spread onto baked tart crust.
Topping:
Mix all ingredients together in bowl. Lay out apples in a pretty spiral on cream cheese mixture , sprinkle with nuts. Bake 40 minutes.
(Optional: Once it's completely cool, glaze using a pastry brush mixed with currant jelly and water)
