Strawberries Romanoff

Use as a topping for pancakes, waffles or cakes.
Make a Trifle by layering it alternately with pound or angel food cake or lady fingers, fresh berries, and strawberry or raspberry glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brandy and / or 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream 4 tablespoons confectioners sugar
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries or other seasonal berries

Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix sour cream, brown sugar and brandy in a bowl
2. In a separate bowl, whip cream until it starts to thicken.
3. Add sugar and whip until thick
4. Carefully, fold cream into sour cream mixture and blend well
5. Serve with fresh berries
