Ingredients

  • These ingredients are adjustable to your taste.
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/3 c. hot water
  • 1 cup (more or less) chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup (more or less) chopped green pepper
  • 1 can Bush's chili beans, drained (original recipe calls for 2 cans)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. monosodium glutamate (MSG) (Accent)
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon chili powder (I use more)

Preparation

Step 1

Cook ground beef til crumbled and well done. Combine all ingredients in crock pot, cook for several hours, stirring occasionally and checking for spiciness (add more chili powder, salt, pepper as needed).

Can also be cooked on the stovetop, cook covered at medium heat for half an hour or so, stirring occasionally, til it tastes done.

I usually double the recipe and freeze the leftovers.
