  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar plus 2 tblsp
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup chopped macadamia nuts

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl beat butter and the 1/2 cup sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add 2 tsp water and vanilla; beat until combined. On low speed, beat in the flour just until combined and all ingredients are evenly moistened. Fold in nuts. Form into disk; cover with plastic wrap. Refrigeratefor 2 to 3 hours. Heat oven to 350. Roll dough into balls, using 1 level tblsp for each. Place on ungreased baking sheets, spacing aobut 1 inch apart. Bake in 350 oven for 20 minutes or until lightly golden. Let cookies cool slightly on wire rack. Dust with remaining 2 tblsp powdered sugar.
