Yam Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 lbs Yams (2 cups)
  • 1 tbs margarine or butter
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbs chopped walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Add butter to hot mashed yams;
Stir in milk, sugar, eggs, salt and cinnamon;
When blended pour into a greased 9" pie pan;
Sprinkle with walnuts;
Bake at 400 for 35 minutes
