Swedish Meatballs (Grandma Eva's)

By

This recipe was found in Grandma Eva's recipe box. It was noted that it came from Amanda K. Cooligan. Grandpa had made a note on the side that said, "1 lb. beef, 1/4 lb. pork."

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onion in butter, add to other ingredients for meatballs and mix well. Roll into small balls and lightly brown in oleomargerine.Remove. Combine butter, flour, and broth for sauce. To this, add sour cream, slowly. Put meatballs back in sauce and simmer 15 minutes, depending on size of meat balls. Serve over buttered noodles or mashed potatos.

** Instead of ground round steak, you can use the 1 pound of ground beef and 1 package (tube) of Jimmy Dean Sausage, or do equal parts of beef and sausage.
