Instant Pot Fresh Tomato Basil Sauce (1 ww pts)

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 1/2 - 5 pounds Romas tomatoes, diced
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 tablespoon pepper
- 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed peppers
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil

Preparation
Step 1
Heat Instant Pot on Saute / More. Add olive oil.
Add garlic and onions. Saute until soft, about 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes, salt, pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, crushed peppers and bay leaf to the Instant Pot. Stir to combine.
Set Instant Pot to Manual / High Pressure for 10 minutes. Quick Release (QR)
Add Basil and stir in. Set pot to Saute / More again and let simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove bay leaf and serve or use in another recipe.
Can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or frozen for later use.
