Ingredients
- 4 pork chops, 3/4” thick
- 4 tbs br. sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 4 tbs butter
- 2 med apples, cored and cut 2” sliced
- 3 tbs chopped pecans
Preparation
Step 1
Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Sauté chops 5 minutes until both sides are evenly browned. Remove; keep warm.
In small bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add butter to skillet; stirring brown sugar mixture and apples. Cover and cook about 3 minutes until apples are just tender.
Remove apples with a slotted spoon and arrange on top of chops; keep warm. Continue cooking mixture in skillet, uncovered, until sauce thickens slightly. Spoon the sauce over apples and chops. Sprinkle with pecans.
