Sweet Refrigerator Pickles

This recipe tastes exactly like my Grandma Redling's refrigerator pickles that she always served for the holidays.

Ingredients
- 3 large Cucumbers, unpeeled and sliced
- 3 large Onions, thinly sliced
- 4 1/2 cups sugar
- 4 1/2 cups vinegar
- 1/2 cup salt
- 1 1/3 Tbsp Celery Seed
- 1 1/3 Tbsp Mustard Seed
- 1 1/3 Tbsp Turmeric

Step 1
In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, vinegar, salt, turmeric, celery seed and mustard seed. Place the onions and cucumbers in 3 large glass jars. Add the liquid mixture to the glass jars and seal the jars tightly. Refrigerate 5 days before using. Keep the jars refrigerated after use.
