  • 1 pound Norbest Ground Turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
  • 1 tablespoon green pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • Non-stick vegetable cooking spray
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks, drained and juice reserved 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 large green pepper, cut into 1/2-inch cubes

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In medium bowl combine Norbest Ground Turkey, egg, bread crumbs, onion flakes, green pepper and teriyaki sauce. Shape 30 meatballs from turkey mixture (approximately 1 tablespoon turkey mixture for each meatball). Coat 10 x 15 x 1-inch baking pan with non-stick spray. Arrange meatballs on pan and bake 15 to 20 minutes or until meatballs are no longer pink in ~eanwhile, in 2-quart microwave-safe dish combine cornstarch.and brown ~Sfir in reserved pineapple juice, water, vinegar and soy sauce. Microwave High (100% power) 2 minutes; stir in green pepper. Microwave at High (100% power) 3 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time. Fold in meatballs and pineapple chunks. Microwave at High (100% power) 2 minutes or until mixture is heated throughout. To serve, transfer meatball mixture to chafing dish and serve with toothpicks.
