Rum Sauce for Mincemeat Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 lemon wedge
  • 1 orange wedge
  • 1/4 c dark rum---add last

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients in a saucepan.
Boil uncovered for 20 min. stirring occasionally.
Discard the fruit.
Add the rum and serve.
Delicious!
